Kenya African National Union (KANU) Youth Congress Chairman Billian Okoth Ojiwa has been found.
Billian was reported missing on Sunday afternoon by his wife Nerima Wako.The KANU official is said to have called one of his friends on Tuesday, February 12, saying he was headed to Kilimani Police Station, where a missing person’s report had been filed.“He called me and said he is coming to Kilimani Police Station in 10 minutes,” the friend said.
His wife Nerima said Ojiwa went missing on Sunday and his phone had been switched off.“It’s been more than 24 hours without any contact whatsoever. He didn’t have his phone, his car keys or his office keys. I thought he had gone to the shop. I haven’t seen him since then,” she said.Ojiwa’s alleged disappearance was a trending topic on Tuesday morning and police at Nairobi’s Kilimani Police Station are still investigating.Social Media went into frenzy following the news of his alleged disappearance, with Kenyans on Twitter, under the hashtag #FindBillianOjiwa, urging police to find him.This is after another activist Caroline Mwatha was also reported missing on Wednesday.
Her husband Joshua Ochieng’ said they last talked on Wednesday last week.
Police are investigating.
