Kenya’s top emcee and comedian Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has ended his engagement with Mediamax owned Milele Fm.
Jalang’o who revealed his departure through an Instagram post on Monday evening, revealed that the move was a result of a disagreement with the company’s management.
“I was not at work today because we had not agreed on a lot of things and terms and even as we speak my HR had me on hold still discussing terms of employment. Unfortunately, we did not agree. So just like today, I won’t be at work tomorrow or any other day. In short last Friday was my last day at Milele Fm,” revealed Jalang’o.
Jalang’o who last went on air on Friday, June 19, thanked his fans and the Mediamax management for the opportunity to work with them.
The comedian’s announcement comes just hours after revelations that the Kijabe Street-based media house had sacked over 100 of its employees.
The funnyman however doesn’t take regret at his departure stating that he helped move Milele Fm’s breakfast show to the top of GeoPol’s rankings.
