Comedian Ben Morris Onyango alias Othuol Othuol has finally been admitted and is undergoing treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital after getting stranded at the facility since yesterday.
The funnyman, who had been left stranded at the Emergency Monitoring Area B, has finally been admitted at Emergency Ward 8 where he is now receiving medical attention.
Othuol Othuol had been referred to the Kenyatta National Hospital from a Kitengela hospital where he had been rushed after fainting at his home yesterday morning.
According to a Facebook post by his close friend, Othuol Othuol had been stuck at the waiting queue for several hours prompting a protest from his social media fans.
Othuol Othuol has been in and off treatment rooms struggling to recover from a tuberculosis diagnosis. Although he eventually recovered from the disease after months of medication, the comedian revealed, in an interview last year, that he was still weak and could not still get back to his performances.
“After the diagnosis, the journey started. I took medicine for about six to seven months and I finished in October, I was tested and they found out I was healed. So, right now I am fine but I am weak I cannot stand for long or walk for a long distance, I cannot perform for the live audience for now,” he said.
The incident has exposed the sorry state of the negligence at the national facility which has allegedly resulted in several deaths. Just recently, the facility was on the spot over the death of veteran author Ken Walibora after it emerged that the journalist was left unattended to for several hours leading to his death.
