One of the netizens said “Mombasa didn’t have a governor. We had a music promoter. A promoter who paid Chris Brown a total of 91 million shillings,”
Well, being a politician in Kenya has never been easy, the majority will never see the good work you do.
In October 2019, Joho brought American Popstar Chris Brown to Mombasa County to perform in a major concert.
For 90 minutes, the American megastar was paid a whopping Sh 90 million to perform at a time when Kenyan artists were demanding fair airplay for their music as most radio stations tended to overplay international music.
