Jesus Is Alive Ministry (JIAM) Bishop and Nairobi County UDA’s Senatorial aspirant Margaret Wanjiru has said that not everyone in her party United Democratic Alliance (UDA) is worth her vote.
According to her, the decision to vote for someone, regardless of their political affiliation, should be guided by trust, integrity, and track records.
“Even in my party (UDA), there are people I cannot vote for. They all know my stand if someone has a questionable character or has zero service delivery track record, I Margaret Wanjiru cannot be part of their team,” she said on Monday morning.
She said that voters should not vote to give their votes to aspirants who did not honor their promises when they had the opportunities.
“When people go out and campaign together, the crowd starts looking at the whole team. There could be one or two that they don’t agree with, but for the sake of others we will do party politics,” she said.
The former Starehe Member Of Parliament added that the 2022 election has seen a reduction of politically undecided voters, the majority of whom were Christians.
“Most religious people would rather stay at home and pray. But this time it Is not the same, people are getting out of the prayer room to the polling station,” she concluded.
