By going ahead some African leaders have gone ahead to even tell off Ruto’s main competitor in the race to move on. The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has decided to go to court and challenge DP Ruto’s win. The Azimio side termed Ruto’s win as unfair and had a lot of illegalities.
One man none other than Julius Malema, a renowned South African politician has decided to tell off the Azimio side. Malema who is the leader of his party Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) had the following to say. ” The EFF calls on rivals, the contestants, and in particular, Raila Odinga to accept the results of the elections and act with restraint with their supporters,” he said after the results were announced.
After the Azimio leader called a press briefing and told his supporters about the way forward. Malema was at it again and went ahead to tell Odinga. ” The EFF calls on the President-Elect and his supporters to be magnanimous in victory and honorable Raila Odinga to be gracious enough in defeat for the good of peace and order in the nation of Kenya.”Â
Malema said that Kenya has always experienced election violence since the introduction of Multi-party democracy. He went ahead to say it’s high time for Africa to be relieved of post-election violence after every presidential race.
It is also good to note that Babu Owino has also told off the head of state congratulating Ruto. Babu said that Kenya is a democratic country and does not need their involvement whatsoever.
