The number of people who died after a Modern Coast bus plunged into Tharaka Nithi bridge on Sunday 24th July has risen to over 30.
This is after the six more bodies were found retrieved from the scene.
The police said that 13 people were nursing critical injuries as the search for more bodies that might still be in the wreckage continues.
The Modern Coast bus is said to have lost brakes, hitting an oncoming vehicle before plunging 40 feet into the river below.
The police who were at the accident scene as that the survivors being rushed to PCEA Chogoria Mission Hospital and the Chuka County Referral Hospital.
