Former Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) signees like Harmonize, Rich Movoko, and finally Rayvanny have had a lot of issues with paying the termination fees while leaving the record label, Zuchu has shocked many by saying that she is comfortable with what she signed for with the label.
Diamond has been locked in a fierce fight with Rich Mavoko, Harmonize, and Rayvanny after his record label Wasafi Record penalized them for leaving before their contracts expired.
The trio was forced to part ways with millions of shillings to buy the remainder of their contracts when they quit Wasafi before their contracts expired.
Rich and Mavoko and Harmonize coughed Ksh 23 million while Rayvanny paid Ksh 50 million, Zuchu is supposed to pay Diamond’s label Tsh10 billion/Ksh511 million to leave the record prematurely.
“@diamondplatnumz @officialzuchu akitaka kutoka atadaiwa bilioni mbili maana saiv ni msanii mkubwa baada ya bigy, he asked.
Diamond while responding to a fan who had asked how much will Zuchu pay should she plan to leave Wasafi’s records and was quick to respond that she will pay Ksh511 million on the Zuchu exit clause.
@qwixa_azz aah huyo si chini ya 10 billion si unaona manamba yake huko mjini Youtube Baba he replied.
Speaking to Wasafi Fm, Zuchu said that she had no issue with the contract she signed with WCB since she was not coerced or forced to sign it.
The Sukari hitmaker explained further that every contractual agreement has two sides and that if an issue arises between the parties the artiste knew exactly what they got themselves into.
“Siku nilioenda kusign nilikuwepo mimi na mamangu mzazi na watu wengine ambao waliokuwa kama mashahidi. Kutoka kwa msanii ni maamuzi binafsi. Akiamua kubaki, akiamua kutoka. Upande wa unyonyaji I do believe kila contractual agreement ilikuwa ina pande mbili za makubaliano. Ulikaa ukakubali kwa hivyo kama nishimo ulijichimbia ulikuwepo wewe na ulijichimbia mwenyewe.
“Kama kuna vitu ulikuwa unataka kutengua unauwezo wakuvitengua mwenyewe. Everything is negotiable. Wasanii wameanza kutoka WCB kabla atasijaingia kama ingekuwa inalingana na chochote ningesign ata mkataba,”
Her statements come weeks after Wasafi has been blamed for exploiting artists through their contracts.
Wasafi Boss Babu Tale, while announcing that the record label will be signing two news artists said that WCB will from now on be having witnesses from the industry regulators who will oversee the signing process in a bid to stop the perception that the label is exploiting musicians with the contracts they sign.

“Soon we will sign two artists to join the Wasafi label but this time we have decided that the artist will have two witnesses from COSOTA and BASATA. Music is our business and it is our responsibility to grow and manage this work, we cannot stop no matter what. #theblackgodfather,” he wrote.
