The wife of the 40- year old man who was shot dead on Monday ,May ,16 has clarified that she did not know the kind of business that her husband as involved in.
The Man who was identified as Samuel Mugo Muvota, was shot dead in broad day light on Monday by an unknown assailant and police officers believe the man who was under the police radar for for suspected criminal activities, was murdered due to deal done wrong.
The wife, while being interrogated by the police said though she and the deceased were married for the past 17 years, she is not a ware of what kind of business he did.
According to Citizen TV, the wife said that whenever she asked him about his business, her husband would get agitated.
According to the reports, the victim owned five vehicles and two of them was being driven by women.
The women identified as Winnie Wambui and the victim had three children during their marriage.
His elder brother also said he did not know what his brother was involved saying they have seen each other seven years ago.
“Three weeks ago, he called and told me that his life had hit a dead end. He did not reveal what was troubling him. I insisted we discuss the issue on phone and not wait for a physical meeting. He said no. That the last I heard from him,” Timothy Wachira , the brother said as quoted by Daily Nation.
According to report released by the Directorate of criminal investigations (DCI) on Thursday, 19 revealed that Muvota’s dark life dating as far back as 2011 when he started stealing from victims at ATM’s in various banks.
DCI said that by the time he met his death on Monday, he was a millionaire with several real estate properties scattered across the city, a fleet of vehicles, and 7 wives all living lavishly from proceeds of stunted by revelers.
Detectives based at DCI’s Corporate Communications & Public affairs Unit also released video and images of Muvota swapping a SIM card from an unsuspecting victim
