Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga popularly known as Mtu Kazi has jetted in JKIA Nairobi few minutes past 8pm on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, moments for an eagerly awaited fight against Kenya’s Daniel Wanyonyi.
Mandonga’s bout against Wanyonyi will be held at the Kenyatta International Conference Center (KICC) on Saturday, January 14.
Moment after arriving at the JKIA Airport Mandonga held a brief media briefing where he said he is ready for a big win against Wanyonyi though he will celebrate whichever outcome.
‘’I want to tell wanyonyi that I am well prepared to dismantle you in this bout. Yes, I talk much but I also win much. To Kenyans and tanzanias, I want to promise the a mother of all fight on 14th’ said the flamboyant fighter.
Mandonga will on Thursday, January 12, at 11 am held a formal media briefing where he will outlines his preparedness to faced wanyonyo.
The 43-year-old further claimed that Kenya’s president William Samoei Ruto would be present at the Tsavo Ballroom to support and watch him knock out his rival. Mandonga said should he win the match, he will dedicate it to Kenyan head of state.
A total of 10 fights have been lined up for Saturday, January 14.
One-time African union middleweight champion Rayton Okwiri will square it out with Tanzania’s Shanani Ally Ndaro while Uganda’s Hudson Muhumuza will battle homeboy Morris Okolla.
