Popular Luo radio presenter Solomon Atito is set to quit KBC’s Mayienga FM after amassing ten years of experience at the Harry Thuku road media based station.
Atito aka Kafaya who is widely known with the Ohangla top ten show at the station dubbed Dansomenia that airs every Saturday night and Mayienga drive show is said to have been on the verge of leaving the station any time before the end of this week.
It is still not clear where the presenter is heading but sources with well versed information intimate to us he is on his way to the Dennis pritt road media based station, royal media services.
His departure is a big blow for mayienga radio as Ohangla top ten and Mayienga drive shows which he hosts are some of the few shows that are most listened to.
Recently, various journalists have been witnessed moving fro one station from another as most of them have been poached.
Less than a week ago, Swahili presenter Lofty Matambo announced his exit from the Standard media group, owned tv station.
Matambo announced his exit in an emotional speech after anchoring th 7pm bulletin saying he joined KTN as an amateur, but he had grown in leaps and bounds over the years.
He said: “My supporters you’re worthy as gold , let us continue to value each other even outside of the newsroom and we will meet again pretty soon,”
He had worked at KTN for the past seven and a half years and hosted the kimasomaso talkshow in addition to anchoring the primetime TV news bulletins.
He also hosted the Change na Matambo, a Sunday morning show on radio Maisha.
