Kenya started on a bad note in the ongoing Kenya women’s quadrangular series by going down eight-wicket to Uganda on Tuesday morning.
However the ladies would later bounce back and win six-wickets against neighboring Tanzania. The Twenty (T20) tournament is being held at Nairobi Gymkhana club
Kenya’s captain Queentor Abel led the team with 31 runs with other three hitting double figures.
Prosscovia Alako was named player of the match after scoring the most runs in the match at 27 from 21 balls including a four and a six.
In the afternoon contest Tanzania won the toss and elected to bat first. Tanzania set a target of 90 runs which Kenya reached with seven balls to spare.
During the match, Kenya managed to hit 91 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.5 overs of their innings against Tanzanians.
This was a huge win for the Kenyan side bearing in mind Tanzania are the highest ranked team by ICC in this tournament
It was Flavia Atieno managed four wickets in 22 runs in 4 overs.
Flavia was later named the player-of-the-match also with impressive performance.
Levendah Alivitsia, Melvin Khagoitsa and Mary wambui took two wickets each.
