Citizen Television news presenter Lilian Muli disclosed that joining media industry while too young, led her to doing mistakes which she has learned from.
The mecdia personality who has been in the industry for close to two decades has divulged it is not been a walk in the path.
In a recent YouTube interview with Citizen Digital, the mother of two opened about issues she regrets doing.
Lilian said:
“I have cried, laughed made mistakes and learned from them. I have grown from the challenges and I feel amazing lately,”
According to Lilian, one of the things she regrets is procrastinating on a lot of things that she should have done.
“I regret not taking my mental health seriously. People say that therapy is a thing for guys who have issues but it’s not. When you are in a space like ours, you must find somebody to talk to since there are things you can’t tell everyone apart from your mum who may also judge you,” she said.”I also regret trusting too easily and this applies to both male and female friends. You have to be very careful when in our industry. she said.
Adding:
“There are people who mean well for you but there are also others that can project a different image of you out there based on how much you let them in and what you tell them.”
She also divulged that she keeps her circle small to avoid drama.
During her broken times, she said she was not interested on taking therapy and that shook her mental health.
“When things get overwhelming and would actually seek help and also, I had somebody who walked me along a lot of challenges. It is never easy when alone.” Lilian lamented.
