Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan together with her colleagues surprised her husband Rashid Abdalla at a private party in Mombasa to mark his 40th birthday.
According to the videos and photos from the event seen by this publications, the event was marked by pomp and colours as guests thronged the venue on Sunday, May 9 at an unknown venue in the coastal city of Mombasa.
Lulu Hassan who is well know as a loving and caring wife, knows how to protect what’s hers.
When singer Juliet Miriam Ayub better known as Jovial started performing, some of the guests joined her on the stage and sang her popular hit in a melodious voice while moving towards Rashid who was also jovial and dancing to the song. Then all of a sudden Lulu appeared in between them and started to dance with her hubby, Rashid as crowd cheered.
Lulu held Rashid by his shoulder and danced briefly before she left Jovial to continue entertaining him.
Among the guests who graced the event include Citizen TV Journalists Emmanuel Igunza, Monica Kiragu, Faiza Wanjiru, Hassan Mugambi and Wangechi Muriuki.
The event was capped off with Abdalla and Lulu dancing as bottle sparklers and fireworks and fireworks filled the air.
Earlier before the party, Lulu surprised Rashid when their three children appeared live on TV singing a birthday song to their father.
The birthday surprise left Rashid at a loss for words as he struggled to end the Sunday news bulletin.
Reacting to the video, a social media user said: “Thank you Lulu ,for representing us ‘the possessive ladies’ ….we must protect what is ours”
