Former Senator Kakamega Cleophas Malala has announced the return of annual Cleo Malala Super Cup.
In a press briefing on Monday 16th January at his home in Kakamega, Malala said in this year’s edition, the winner will walk away with Ksh 3,000,000.
The 1st Runners up will pocket Ksh 1.5million while the 2nd runners up will receive Ksh 1 million cash prize while 500,000 shillings will go to the 3rd runners up.
The tournament will cover 5 western counties, (Vihiga, Busia, Kakamega,Bungoma and Trans-nzoia) and 38 sub counties to participate.
According to Malala, the tournaments aim is to unite the Mulembe nation.
During the event, the political who unsuccessfully vied for the Kakamega County gubernatorial seat, was flanked by FKF branch officials from the five counties
Cleo Malala super Cup started in 2018 covering only Kakmega County, in 2022 The tournament took a break due to political interferences.
