A man who battered his wife in the Monday evening April , 4 lost his life after the woman escaped to another man’s house seeking refuge and he pursued her.
What started as a domestic squabble quickly degenerated to torrent of blows and kicks from Fabian Omanyala as he assaulted his 53- years old wife at their home in Kakemer location of Busia county.
According to the statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Tuesday April 5, the woman could no longer bear the battering hence she sought refuge at Robert Amukule’s homestead , but the unrelenting husband followed her baying for her blood.
Amukule who had heard the ensuing commotions immediately came to the aid of the woman by launching a projectile from a catapult, that killed Omanyala in the spot.
The killer projectile which could not be immediately identified hit the deceased on the forehead sending him sprawling on the ground.
Efforts by the well wishers to rush him to the nearby bore no fruits as he was pronounced dead on arrival.
A manhunt for Amukule has been launched by the Teso based DCI as he immediately went into hiding.
This happens only less than one week after a 35- years old was killed after he was allegedly caught pants down with another man’s wife in Kerusoi south, Nakuru County.
According to the DCI, the deceased, Edwin Komen was hacked to death using a machete by the 53- years old woman’s husband.
The deceased had been invited by the woman into her husband’s house at around 2pm where they were caught.
“Komen had been ushered in to the man’s house by his wife where they were having the time of their lives before they were busted by the woman’s husband. In a fit of rage, the 53- year old man reached fora machete and descended on the besieged young man mercilessly hacking his head three times, killing him on the spot,” the DCI said in a statement.
