Former Nairobi governor and philanthropist Mike Mbuvi Sonko has shared a picture of baby Kyla’s progress after undergoing her second surgery.
Kyla’s mother Linda approached the former governor in 20198 while in a club in Mombasa and told him about her daughter’s plight which Sonko accepted and he single-handedly sponsored their trip to Hyderabad India for a cornea transplant in India where the little angel’s eyesight was restored.
Unfortunately, she recently developed another complication in July 2022 and he still sponsored their trip and operations back to India
On his Instagram account, the flamboyant politician posted her progress after she come back from India.

“Away from politics, I believe we all remember the case of Baby Kyla from Bamburi Kiembeni Mombasa and Kasarani which was brought to my attention in November 2017 when she was one year by then. I took it upon myself to oversee all of Kyla’s medical bills in India till she gained eyesight, which was a complete miracle.
I also ensured that her parents were taken care of throughout the period as she underwent Cornea Transplant in India Hyderabad.
The transplant was successful and through God’s mercy, the baby was able to see for the first time in her life.
Early last month we sent her back to the same hospital in Hyderabad India after she developed the same complication both eyes were turning white to the extent of blocking her sight again. The doctors performed another surgery last two weeks ago and I’m glad to report that baby Kyla is again recovering well and was discharged from hospital this week.
Lets all keep the little girl in our prayers as she continues with recovery. Any well wisher willing to help here are the details:

Indeed Our God is a healer,” he posted
