The political tension in the country has continued to rise after Dp Ruto’s sentiments yesterday. Today the pressure has continued to rise after Ruto’s number two Rigathi Gachagua who appears to be a worried man after saying that some unknown men have been trailing his movements for the past days.
He however said that he will not buy into the fear and will keep pushing on for their presidential bid together with his party leader William Ruto.
Gachagua’s statement come just days after another Kenya Kwanza vying for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat Moses Kuria claimed that his life was in danger, Kuria put questions on the inspector general of police’s move to put excess security on his competitor Kimani Wamatangi in all his political meetings, it is while making this statement that he also claimed the president threatened him.
Kuria said “Dear IG Mutyambai, while your boss Uhuru Kenyatta is busy threatening my life, you are providing police in uniforms in 3 land rovers under the command of an OCS to my competitor Kimani Wa Matangi for all his meetings.” he said in his Facebook page.
While speaking to their supporters Gachagua had the following to say while on a campaign in Nyeri county “The reason why I am saying my life is in danger is that some people have been following me, a recent case being in Nakuru, but I am not afraid, I am ready to pay the ultimate price” Gachagua statements come just a day after his party flag bearer for the presidential seat Deputy President William Ruto told off President Uhuru to stop with his threats and that the president should just not dare touch his kids
