The Nairobi Diaries actress Diana Clara Ojenge alias Mishi Dorah who has also featured in various Nigerian movies landed herself on the wrong side of the law after she failed to pay a bill of Sh150,000 at Golden Ice bistro a night club in Nairobi along Mombasa road.
Mishi explaining her ordeal and what transpired between her and the night club says that she had an agreement with the club that she was to get a few drinks from the club for launching a movie she was cast in called Oledo in the club.
Mishi narrated that she was fatigued and tired for she had been planning for the launch the entire week by herself and thus failed to inquire when the drinks kept coming if the drinks were still part of the deal for the free drinks or if they will come from her tab.
And in her defense, she said that she only took one bottle of Hennessy together with her friends and that she did not take all the other drinks that kept coming.
Mishi said that she went home after that and was not asked to pay the bill until the following day at around midday when she received Dm from the club asking her to pay the bill.
In her mind, she thought that it was just a request to pay for the bill of the bouncers who were having red bull drinks the same night.
She also alluded to being played by a Nigerian producer of the movie who was to compensate her for the expenses of the launch who later told her that her card was not working when Mishi told her about the bill.
Mishi said that she downplayed the whole situation until when police officers pulled at her friend’s place in Westlands as they were just about to have drinks.
She was charged and later went ahead to spend a good 38 days in prison which means that her kids had to be taken away and put under care in an orphanage. She said that she is yet to get them back since she still doesn’t have a place to stay as she is behind in rent also.
