Bongo star Rayvanny has been allegedly charged T 10 million (Ksh 2.5 million) by Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) for perming at Nandi’s concert which is against their contract.
According to WCB, Rayvanny had not been cleared fully by the record label to perform in any concert.
Rayvanny who terminated his contract with the record label and paid T800million (Ksh 40 million), will now be forced to pay another Tsh 10 million (Ksh 2.5 million) for performing at Nandi’s festival last month.
“Rayvanny went to seek help from Basata because of the amount of money he was charged by Wasafi,” the report says.
“He was not supposed to perform at any concert before he was cleared by Wasafi record label, but he went ahead and performed at Nandy’s event.”
A few weeks when having an interview with DW Africa, Diamond said that they invest in most of the artists they sign but the majority of them usually want to sneak out without the label’s knowledge.
“We don’t just sign artists, we make sure we transform their music into business and make them very rich,” he said.
“That is why artists signed under Wasafi become big artists. Some of them after we have done that, now want to take it from us by force. They want to be given the whole amount of money they get while working under Wasafi,” he concluded.
