The controversial gospel musician Ringtone Apoko has finally come out to reveal the whereabouts of singer Kelvin Bahati and his wife Diana Marua.
The celebrity couple has been missing from the public for about two weeks now and their whereabouts have raised a lot of concerns from netizens. Bahati stopped posting on his social media accounts after he lost his Mathare parliamentary quest while Diana spoke last after her baby shower.
Their followers have rumoured that they may be clout chasing a forthcoming song. Bahati went a head and deleted all posts from his social media.
Ringtone Apoko, while speaking to Mungai Eve today on Bahati’s whereabouts and according to a video posted by Nairobi gossip, Apoko disclosed that Bahati has been suicidal as aresult of losing the Mathare parliamentary seat.
Apoko said:
“Bahati anapitia depression, Bahati hataki kukubali alipoteza kiti, mara kama mbili Diana amenipigia kuniambia Bahati anataka kukunywa sumu, nikaenda nikamsaidia.”
He asked Kenyans to pray for him and promise him that they loved him for his music, not his political dreams.
” Ambieni Bahati wakenya hawakuwa wanampenda kwa sababu ya siasa, wanampenda kwa sababu ya muziki, aendelee kurelease muziki.” he said.
He further said that Bahati was to release an album which did not happen revealing that he will release it any time soon.
According to Apoko, Diana was having a hard time taking care of Bahati and that he hopes that after Bahati releases his album which he mentioned had six songs, he would go back to his normal life.
Adding:
“najua Bahati ni mtoto wa Diana, amekuwa na kazi mingi ya kumsaidia, Bahati ako depressed lakini najua atatoboa.”
It is still not known if he’s saying the truth or not as the controversial artiste is considered to be playful.
Apoko is being massively trolled for wearing a t-shirt worth up to Ksh 100,000 as he normally posted it to flaunt on his social media acount.
Recently, the musician ditched gospel industry to try out secular music. A part of transforming his musical image is also changing his fashion choices, and now, Ringtone is trying to appeal to an urban audience by rocking designer brands.
The singer was also recently posted a photo of him on Instagram, wearing a simple black graphic t-shirt from the luxury fashion brand, Gucci and captioned,
“Hii top ambayo nimevaa hapa, hii ni zile top ambazo mastar wakubwa duniani wa movies wanavaa… top original! Mimi sasa Kenya ndiyo nimevaa. So mukitafuta wale wale watu Kenya wanavaanga kama mastar wakubwa duniani, musiangalie mbali- ni sisi hapa. Si ndiyo tuko, kabisa.”
