Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) Oscar Sudi has rubbished off survey conducted by Radio Africa suggesting that Azimio Presidential candidate Raila Odinga is more popular than Deputy President William Ruto.
According to the survey, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss current popularity stands at 47.4%
According to the Wednesday star Newspaper , March 16, Deputy President William Ruto stands at 43.4% of support while Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and KANUs Gideon Moi came a distant third and fourth with 1.9% and 0.5% respectively.
The publications further attributed Odinga’s sharp rise in popularity after being endorsed by President Uhuru Kenyatta during a meeting at Sagana state Lodge in Nyeri County.
However, the survey did not go well with a section of William Ruto’s Supporters led by Sudi who dismissed the poll saying it had been sponsored by the Government.
According to the MP , the survey’s sponsors were bitter because DP’s popularity exceeds that of Raila with 24%.
Taking to his social media page, Sudi , an ardent supporter of the Deputy President William Ruto said its the deep state doing routine work.
“This is not The Star authorising this newspaper, Its the deep state doing their routine work. Tumewazoea hawa Wakora. They are bitter because we are a head of them by 24%. Wakora wa Kawaida, Said Sudi.
Earlier , the Kenya Kwanza Alliance CO-principle Musalia Mudavadi rejected the poll by TIFA results that showed ODM leader Raila Odinga’s popularity is rising.
According to Mudavadi, there was a plot by unnamed forces who use political opinion pollsters to engage in electoral malpractices by pushing a narrative that one’s popularity has reached its maximum.
Mudavadi who was speaking in Kirinyaga during a campaign tour on Thursday February 17 said “There is an Opinion that Shows Raila’s popularity has increased or rather is increasing in Mt. Kenya. Allow me to ask , Did you people of Kirinyaga participate in that poll?
