Kenyan content creator Kelvin Kinuthia expressed his anger with one of the radio hosts who he felt asked him personal questions which he felt was inappropriate.
Ankari Ray who hosts a segment called ‘Uhondo wa Milele on Milele FM had called Kinuthia to ask him about his sexual orientation, a question that did not sit well with him.
A few seconds into the call, Ankali informed Kinuthia that due to the nature of his content and demeanor, people have been speculating as to whether he is straight or gay.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate you because people seem to love your content, especially the ladies. However, there is something that I need clarification on. Are you straight? Do you like ladies or do you play for the same team? he posed.
In his response, Kinuthia who seemed irked by the questions wondered why the presenter would call him to ask him such questions adding that asking him about his sexuality was indecorous.
“What’s up? Where are those questions coming from? It’s not necessary and then why are you calling me to ask such questions? That’s not appropriate thank you,” he responded before hanging up the call.
A few weeks ago when Kinuthia was hosted by Diana Marua on her Youtube channel Kinuthia opened up and said that he always finds a hard time entering malls and buildings in which everyone must be frisked.
“When I get to a mall, I always stand outside for a moment and wonder whether I should approach the female security guard or the male one.
I might go to the guard and he might turn me away like there was I time I was told to use the other line so I just got in.
Sometimes, when they tell me to go to the ladies’ side, I just oblige because I don’t want to argue with them” he said.
“A few days ago, I went to Village Market with my friends. After sharing a meal, I decided to go to the washroom before I entered, someone told me to stop but I did not listen to him. I lacked words to express myself. What would I have told him?, I dressed normally on that day. I wore jeans and a t-shirt and did not have makeup on. So, apart from my nails and hair, I looked normal,” he concluded.
