Public Transport Company Transline Classic has promised to take serious disciplinary actions against one of their employees who went viral mocking the Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga after the Monday 5th September Supreme Court ruling.
In a statement issued on Wednesday 7th September, the transport company distanced itself from the viral video saying the person in question acted in his own capacity.
In the viral video clip, Cliff Onchiri recorded himself saying “Amkenii, ameshindwa tenaaa, amkeeni, ameshindwa tena”.
Onchiri is one of the company’s casual laborers at the Afya center offices in Nairobi.
The short video clip went viral forcing the company to write a public apology since the majority of its clients are coming from the Western part of the country.
“Our attention has been drawn by a video clip going around the social media done by the casual worker based at our Afya Centre offices.
“As a company, we wish to dissociate ourselves from that clip and state that it was done by the individual’s will and does not in any way represent the views of the company,” part of the statement reads.
The company went on to apologize to Kenyans over the clip, making it clear that they are in business and not politics.
“Disciplinary measures have been taken on the individual. We apologize to everybody, especially our valued customers for the offensive clip. As a company we are in business and not in politics,
“We will continue to give the best of the services to all our customers.”Â
I’ve travelled occasionally with transline but the operators acts as if they are looking for the downfall of the company. Kindly stop managing the company as if it’s a matatu operational company.
1. It takes to long to depart.
2. What’s the essence of the computers in the booking office. After the passengers have settled and its also late a conductor comes in retorting to the passengers to produce their tickets.and tabulating the bus fare . It looks awkward
