Seasonal Vioja Mahakamani actor Gibson Gathu Mbugua alias Kiongozi wa Mashtaka” has thanked Kenyans after he successfully went for a kidney transplant.
Mbugua was discharged from Medihill hospital in Eldoret UashiNgishu County where he underwent a kidney transplant.
In an interview, the actor said that he was now okay and recuperating at home.
“God is so good. I feel excellent and energetic. I am slowly regaining my usual self. I guess dialysis had drained me,” he said.
The actor was admitted to the hospital sometime in July after well-wishers led by President Uhuru Kenyatta contributed to his fundraising which amounted to Ksh 6 million to cater for his treatment.
He thanked the President for coming through for him after he contributed Ksh 2 million to his medical kitty.
He also sent his gratitude to his colleagues, especially Lucy Wangui (the magistrate), Mathias Keya (Alfonse Makacha Makokha), and Hiram Mungai (Ondiek Nyuka Kwota).
“I am so thankful to Kenyans who came through for me. I could never appreciate them enough,” he said.
