Disability is not inability. Adanur Ibrahim Abdi, 33, is undoubtedly among the living testimony of the phrase
Adanur, an accountant by training, was elected as an MCA of the Batalu ward in the Wajir north constituency in Wajir County.
Born in 1988 in the village of Buna, Adanur said he has never let disability be an obstacle in his life but rather a motivator to show his potential.
He said the money was not his motivation to enter politics, but rather, his desire for good leadership catapulted him to the arena.
Adanur, whose father died while still a young boy, has been depending on his jobless mother and well-wishers for survival and education.
Regarding the competition in the race for Batalu ward representative, he said that the post attracted six other candidates, whom he beat.
