Winnie Odinga, the last-born daughter to the former Prime Minister and Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate Raila Amollo Odinga opened up about the kind of a man she wants for herself.
In an interview with Spice Fm, the 32-year-old described her ideal man as tall, dark, and slender.
She also insisted that the man must be learned.
“You got to be taller than me, I am 5’10… you have to be dark, and like slim. He has to come with a degree,” she said.
On what makes a relationship, the BrickHouse Counsel CEO shared important things that she looks for in a relationship.
“Trust, the ability to communicate, have discussions, and sort of a platform where I can bounce off. All the work that I do, all ideas I come up with I need to check with somebody,” she said.
Being a daughter to a political, Winnie said that she has learned to be skeptical to avoid getting into trouble.
“It has always been a challenge even now. You find that children of politicians don’t trust people, they have become so skeptical because there are a lot of betrayals. You become cautious in how you deal with people,” she added.
The Political Science graduate from Drexel University in Philadelphia, US said that she meets a lot of people in her day-to-day activities but has kept her circle small and does not share a lot of information with those who do not need it.
“I think I have got a good circle of friends. I meet a lot of people by the nature of my work. Just keep your circle tight,” she said.
When she is not out with her father in the political field, Winnie spends most of her time indoors watching tv and listening to her favorite hip-hop and afrobeat tracks.
Winnie sometimes last year at a meeting with Mount Kenya Youth at the Nairobi University, Winnie said that she would have her meeting at the doors of State House after her father Raila Odinga is sworn in as the 5th President of Kenya.
“Tell them that I said Winnie Odinga will get married in 2022, on the lawns of State House, And you are all invited, so if you want that to happen, go register to vote,” she jokingly said.
