Former Vice President and Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has hinted at a significant political realignment, teasing a transformative new name for his movement ahead of the next general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday afternoon at the Wiper Party headquarters in Nairobi, Kalonzo met with aspirants from across the country and urged them to prepare for a major shift in Kenya’s political landscape.
“I urged them to be ready for a new earth-shaking name that would define our movement,” Kalonzo said, sparking speculation about a possible coalition or rebranding of his political vehicle.
He assured aspirants that the Wiper Party’s nomination process would be free and transparent, with plans to field candidates in all 290 constituencies, 1,450 wards, and 47 gubernatorial and senatorial seats.
“Karibuni sana Wiper,” he said, extending an open invitation to supporters.
In a closing remark that framed his campaign as a national mission, Kalonzo declared, “For the avoidance of doubt, safari hii ni ukombozi Kenya.” (This journey is Kenya’s liberation).
The statement has stirred political discussions, with analysts watching closely for further details on the anticipated “earth-shaking” movement.
