Kenya Wild Life officers and a team of veterinary officers on Thursday 29th February 2023 captured four roaming Buffaloes around the Nazarene area in Rongai, Kajiado County.
According to an official statement from the KWS, the animals were a threat to the residents of the area.
The animals had been taken away to a safe place away from humans.
“The captured buffaloes were released inside Nairobi National Park in an environment with ample foraging space,” KWS said.
The officers also said that they are actively continuing with their search for the four remaining buffaloes so that they can move them to the National Park.
This comes days after the Kenya Wildlife team captured a leopard and a snake that were roaming areas around human settlements, threatening the safety of the people.
